The lawyer Hans Weber came to Döberitz and Berlin in September 1914, initially as a reservist for training. A month later he was in the Becelaere barracks in Esslingen. From there it went towards Ypres on November 2nd. Shortly before the Flemish town, Hans Weber and his troops took part in the battle at Polderhoek Castle.
