Drawing of the chancel and the chorus screens inside the basilica of St. Clement in Rome, commissioned by Pope Hormisdas and by Pope John II respectively. The slabs are framed by small pilasters bearing a phytomorphic pattern and they are decorated with geometrical frames (squared, rhomboidal), wreaths and clipei, filled by latin crosses, rosettes and a monogram.
