Robert of Gloucester's chronicle transcr. and publ. by T. Hearne. To which is added a continuation, by the author himself (1724)
Thomas Hearne (22 September 1744 – 13 April 1817) was an English landscape painter, engraver and illustrator. Hearne's watercolours were typified by applying a wash of subtle subdued colours over a clear outline in fine brush, pen or pencil. His techniques were studied by younger artists such as Thomas Girtin and J. M. W. Turner.
Transcrib'd, and now first publish'd, from a ms. in the Harleyan library by Thomas Hearne, M.A. To which is added, besides a glossary and other improvements, a continuation (by the author himself) of this chronicle from a ms. in the Cottanian library
