Joseph Anton Schneiderfranken, also known as Bô Yin Râ (born 25 November 1876 in Aschaffenburg; died 14 February 1943 in Massagno/Lugano), was a German philosopher and painter.He was especially prolific with his landscapes from Greece and a series of spiritual paintings belonging to his books.Schneiderfranken's writings were published under the pseudonym of Bô Yin Râ. His spiritual texts include a series of 32 books, named as a whole the Hortus Conclusus ("The Gated Garden").In the "Hortus Conclusus", the following books are considered a trilogy:The Book on the Living God (Kober Press: 1992)The Book on Life Beyond (Kober Press: 2002)The Book on Human Nature (Kober Press: 2000)---The spiritual author Eckhart Tolle has cited the writings of Schneiderfranken as an early influence, saying that he responded "very deeply" to his books.
