Häufige Fossilien des Muschelkalkmeeres (Ceratitenschichten, Oberer Muschelkalk): Hoernesia socialis und Myophoria vulgaris (v. SCHLOTHEIM), die manchmal auch als Muschelpflaster vorkommen.
Gut erhalten ist Hoernesia socialis mit der langgestreckten Schale und typischen konzentrischen Anwachslinien.
