MEDIEVAL BUCKLE
A Medieval or Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle frame, c. 1350-1650 AD. Its remains consist of an oval double loop frame with bevelled inner edges; the pin is missing. The strap bar is narrowed slightly. The frame is slightly bent in profile and measures 31.24mm long, 25.29mm wide and 2.25mm thick. It weighs 4.5 grams. Cf. Whitehead, 1996, No. 294, dated to c. 1350-1650 AD.
