MEDIEVAL VESSEL
A corroded and worn cast copper-alloy vessel foot, probably from an ewer or cauldron, of Medieval or Post Medieval date (1200-1650 AD). The foot is semi-circular in cross-section with incised grooves on the outer face. There is a semi-circular raised collar two thirds of the way down the leg, the foot which has a raised decoration in the style of an animal paw. The reverse is undecorated and flat.…
