MEDIEVAL SEAL MATRIX
A Medieval cast copper-alloy circular seal matrix (AD 1300-1400). This seal matrix has a oval die and a handle which is hexagonal in cross-section. It terminates in a loop for suspension. The motif on the matrix's face is a bird, possibly an eagle, with outspread wings enclosed by the letters PRIVE TVX. This is likely to translate as a requet for privacy.
