Friedrich Wilhelm Schernikau
Feldpost eines deutschen Soldaten
My great-great-grandfather Friedrich Wilhelm Schernikau, born on March 24, 1876, died in April 1933, was employed on the western front between 1916 and 1919 as a railway track builder. Copies of field letters or postcards exist in excerpts. They somewhat reflect the situation at home and in the rear of the front.
