Hermann Immel was born on May 14, 1886 in Bockenheim, administrative district of Frankfurt/Main. He later lived in Buchenau Krs.Biedenkopf and worked as a molder at the Carlshütte. On March 4, 1915 he entered service with the Reserve Batellion Gren. Regiment 123.
