Memories of Emile Dupont
Emile Dupont is the contributor's maternal grandfather. Born March 23, 1882 in Ivoy-le-Pré (Cher), he worked as a farmer. During the war, which he carried out with the 85th infantry regiment and which earned him a shrapnel wound to the leg and buttock in June 1916 in Verdun, he kept a march diary from which he drew a summarized after his return to civilian life.
