Das Instrument ist aus einer kleinen Viola d'amore umgearbeitet; Saitenhalter und Hals sind ergänzt. Boden und Zargen sind aus geflammtem Ahornholz und bräunlichgelb lackiert. Die Schalllöcher haben Flammenschwert-Form. Saitenhalter und Griffbrett sind mit Elfenbein eingelegt; auch die Wirbel sind aus Elfenbein.
