This image shows a busy street scene in the French town of Nesle. It has been taken outside the Mayor's house, situated on the corner of 'PLACE D'ARMES' and 'RUE DE LA MONNAIT'. A number of soldiers and officers are milling around on the pavement, alongside French civilians. Whilst the 'Mairie' or Mayor's house appears a little rundown, none of the buildings in this image show signs of any damage.…
