Η φορεσιά της Αγιάννας πήρε την ονομασία της από την κωμόπολη της Αγίας Άννας στη Β.Α. Εύβοια. Ο τύπος αυτός συνηθιζόταν με παραλλαγές σε πολλά χωριά της Εύβοιας.
Η περιοχή της Αγίας Άννας ήταν γνωστή επειδή οι κάτοικοί της καλλιεργούσαν ριζάρι, τον κόκκινο λειχήνα, ο οποίος είναι γνωστός από την αρχαιότητα ως ερυθρόδανο βαφικό. Από τις ρίζες του φυτού παρήγαγαν βαφή, και την πουλούσαν τόσο στην Ε…
