A bronze William III halfpenny coin which has been polished on both sides in order to produce a love token; on one side are engraved the words 'The rose is red the violets blew [sic] Carnations sweet and so are you 1727', between them is a full-length skeleton - the design has been emphasised by the application of a white substance; the other side is blank.
