Gustave Herman was a farmer in Saint-Nicolas (Pas-de-Calais). He was the maternal Grandfather. He was mobilized to the 33rd Infantry Regiment in August 1944. He was wounded in Dinan (Côte d'Armor), returning to the 33rd Infantry Regiment. He was a prisoner in Verdun (Meuse) in February 1916. He was attached to class 1925.
