Wilhelm Neubauer is wounded at Eastern Front
Wilhelm Neubauer served in the 12th Reserve Regiment 12 of the 93rd Division and lost his right leg, which had to be amputated below the knee, in the first months of the war on the Eastern Front, probably due to a grenade impact. In October he was taken to the royal reserve hospital at Marien Hospital in Düsseldorf. He then returned to Berlin, already equipped with a prosthesis at this point. But …
