Snare drum
This is a military snare drum, with a plain brass shell and counterhoops. It has 16-in skin heads and an early rod-tensioning system with wing-nuts (8 rods in total). There is a brass ring in the batter counterhoop to attached a carry rope and an oval brass leg rest attached to the snare counterhoop.
