Wartime Archive of Reg Stone of Skelmanthorpe: The SEAC All-Services Daily Newspaper: No. 853 reverse of the front page. The SEAC was issued free to troops from the 10th January 1944 to 15th May 1946.
This SEAC newspaper came about from a near revolt amongst servicemen. This was because all newspapers from home at the early stages of the war had to travel via the cape, and even as late as towards the end of 1943, when the Mediterranean was opened up again, newspapers could take as long as three moths to reach the men.
