Brush
This brush was found during the excavations of Grenfell and Hunt in the Fayum. It is composed of vegetal fibres, most likely wicker. They are held together with cords, reinforced by a thin layer of plaster. The brush dates to the Late Period, and was used to apply plaster and paint. Excavation: Grenfell & Hunt 1901-02
