ROMAN BROOCH
An incomplete Roman copper alloy Polden Hill brooch, dating to AD 75-125. Only part of the upper bow survives, flaring at the head with traces of the cylindrical wings on either side which would have encased the spring. There are two moulded chevron designs decorating the head, which have been heavily worn. A similar example is in Hattatt (1985, no. 375), though due to the condition of this brooch…
