Last Judgment and the Burying of the Dead | Orley, Bernard van
 

Het Laatste Oordeel en het begraven der doden, het zevende werk der Barmhartigheden. In het midden boven zit Christus op de wereldbol op de regenboog met opgeheven armen, de hemel is vol met engelen die op bazuinen blazen, het kruis met bijbel hooghouden en een zwaard of lelietak dragen. Op aarde verrijzen links de doden die gered worden, rechts de verdoemde zielen en duivels. In het midden begraven enkele mannen in het zwart een doodskist.
