In Rotterdam werd door 800 à 900 havenwerkers in het stukgoed gestaakt voor een betere CAO. Een 120-tal Rotterdamse havenwerkers kwam naar Flushing Stevedoring, waar het
toegangshek werd geforceerd, om het lossen van enkele fruitschepen te verhinderen. Directie en werknemers van Flushing Stevedoring en stuwadoorsbedrijf Westerschelde waren echter niet
bereid om uit solidariteit het lossen stop te zetten.
