A British soldier's family photographed in Tunbridge Wells | The Army Children Archive
The family of a Middlesex Regiment soldier
The rather smudged printed information on the reverse of this real photographic postcard reads ‘LANKESTER, ROMNEY STUDIO, / 38, High Street, Tunbridge Wells [in Kent]’. A family of three is pictured on the front, posed in front of a plain backdrop. A small girl sits on her mother’s lap, with her soldier–father standing to the side. His cap badge is that of the Duke of Cambridge’s Own (Middlesex Regiment).
