Kenneth Steel (RBA, SGA, 9 July 1906–1970) was a British artist creating works of art primarily in watercolor. He was noted for landscapes, street scenes and as a poster designer.Steel was born in Sheffield, England to G.T.Steel, an artist and silver engraver. He studied at Sheffield College of Art under Anthony Betts. Both his mother and wife died in German bombing raids during World War II. Most of his work was produced for the railways but was also represented in a number of public collections. Several of his works have been sold at auction by Christie's.
