The devastation and destruction wreaked on Meaulte. Most of the buildings have been razed to the ground - those left standing are badly damaged and well beyond repair. The ground is littered with rubble and debris. Amazingly, two telegraph poles and a number of trees appear relatively untouched. There are pontoon boats visible on the left of the photograph.
