Roman objects from Cumbria
The engraving shows Roman antiquities found in Cumbria. According to the published account (see Bibliography) these were in a collection at Rose Castle. They include a Roman altar from Castlesteads, altars found in 1787 at Carlisle, and various Roman objects found at Brampton near Carlisle.
