Drumsticks
This pair of turned wooden drum sticks, of a mahogany colour, were made by James Constance & Sons of Longhope, Gloucestershire, circa 1945–6. Each stick tapers from the butt towards the tip, and each has series of rings incised at the butt end to improve the grip. They are part of a large collection of traditional craft products acquired from the British Council in 1960.
