The Moses Mendelssohn School
The Moses Mendelssohn School. The original building on this site opened in 1860. It was a liberal Jewish school for boys and taught a varied curriculum. They added girls in 1931 and it was closed by the Nazis in 1942. Between 1942 and 1945, it was also used to deport Berlin Jews to their deaths.
