Lucknow. Husainabad Imambara (The Taj-replica tomb).

This photograph by John Edward Saché (1870s) is
from the Lee-Warner Collection. The Husainabad Imambara was built
by Nawab Muhammad Ali Shah in 1837 as both a famine relief project
and as a mausoleum for himself and his mother. The King's throne
and ornate tazia or replicas of the tombs at Karbal adorn the
