Another part of the Palace. [Pudukkottai.]

This photograph of a view of the Pudukottai
palace was taken by Linnaeus Tripe in 1858 and is part of a
collection entitled 'Photographic Views of Poodoocottah' (Madras,
1858). Pudukottai, now the capital of the homonymous district, was
once a princely state under the Tondaman Rajas who co-operated in
