This water-colour of a wooded hillside with a
path and houses in the distance, probably near Shimla, was painted
by Sir Richard Hieram Sankey (1829-1908), c. 1876. Inscribed on the
original mount in ink is :' Scene in the Himlayas Lt. General Sir
