An invalid boy in a Bath chair outside an open air

A boy or young man, suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, sits in a Bath chair in front of his chalet accompanied by a woman (presumably his mother). The chalet contains a bed and a chair and is open, possibly to allow fresh air to circulate for the benefit of the inhabitant.
