Sermones Quadragesimales et de Sanctis

This volume is composed of two books both containing sermons by the 15th century Italian Dominican preacher Gabriele Barletta. In these homilies, which treat mostly the virtues and vices of life, he denounces the foibles and weaknesses of his contemporaries. His style has been criticized for its coarseness and its eloquent and occasionally biting sarcasm.
