Berlino: Museo Indiano. Affresco da Turfan
Fresco from a Nestorian church in Turfan that shows the figure of a priest, similar to Byzantine priests, holding a bowl with holy water. He is standing in front of three smaller figures, who carry green twigs in their hands. Behind the group the horse’s leg with the hoof is visible. The whole scene apparently represents the Christian holy day of Palm Sunday.
