My migration object is my profile filled with my drawings, colouring, pictures of me and my teacher writing what I am doing. I’ve had it for 4 years.
The opaque cover for the smooth paper is only transparent if you press it right against the paper. It is quite bumpy, like grains of sand are stuck onto the whitish, greyish cover. The A4 paper inside is warm and reminds me of my school and house in England. The papers have bits of different colours, however they are mostly white.
Now my story: I went to a school in England called Dundonald. My mum got pages of what I did from the school from my teachers and she collected them. She put them into a folder. We brought it on a long, boring journey to Amsterdam, but I didn’t really notice it then. 1 year later we arrived at Den Haag and only then, I noticed it. Since the time we arrived in Den Haag, I’ve been reading it a lot. I now keep it on a wooden shelf.
