Shears, sheep

A pair of sheep shears made from cast steel and inscribed with the name of the Sheffield manufacturer, Ward. They were used for cutting the fleece of sheep by hand, and belonged to the donor's maternal grandfather who farmed in the Cardiff area of Wales. The shears have a small leather case which protects the blades and holds them shut.
