South and East Fronts of the Royal Palace of Hampton Court
This view shows the south and east facades of the
seventeenth century Royal State Apartments at Hampton Court Palace.
The apartments were built for King William III and Queen Mary II
who felt that the Tudor Palace was outdated. They wanted a more
modern Palace for their principal residence and they appointed
