Opening borders: GDR citizens cross the Austro-Hungarian border.

At midnight 11 September 1989 the Hungarian Government opened the Austo-Hungarian border to the refugees who had been staying in Hungary for weeks then after having left the GDR and so they were able to leave for the countries that were ready to take them in.
