Bridal diadem (sfifa or taj)
This diadem, which distinguished her from Muslim brides, gave the Jewish bride a royal look. It is said that the baroque pearls adorning it were given to chickens to ingest, so that they would be cleaned and polished in their gullets. Material and technique: Baroque pearls and pieces of gold jewelry with semiprecious stones, on silk.
