BRONZE AGE SPEAR

The tip of a cast copper alloy spear, of the Late Bronze Age. The spear tip has a hollow central core, and the blades apparently have decorative lines which converge on the point of the tip; these lines may represent the hammered and sharpened edges. There is some ‘bronze disease’ on the edges and small spots on the main body. This artefact dates from 1200 – 700 BC.
