NEOLITHIC POLISHED AXEHEAD

Early Neolithic polished stone axehead or possibly an adze. The tool is incomplete (the butt has broken away) and has been ground so that the surface is smooth. The width of the axehead/adze is unusually narrow and it may have been ground for reuse or used as a small adze. The blade edge is complete and is sharp.
