ROMAN TOGGLE

A cast copper alloy dumb bell toggle dating from the late Iron Age or early Roman period (c.100 BC-200 AD). The toggle is comprised of two semi circular balls joined by a reel shaped element in the centre and is one piece. There is no evidence of an attachment loop.
