MEDIEVAL THIMBLE

A Late Medieval/ Early Post-Medieval (1450-1550) copper-alloy open type thimble or 'sewing ring'. The base is slightly splayed and wider than the top. The ring has a spiral of fairly regularly spaced pits arranged in eight rows around the sides.
