BRONZE AGE SOCKETED AXEHEAD

Incomplete late Bronze Age (1150-800BC) cast copper alloy socketed axe. Only the blade end and a short part of the body revealing the socket end survives. The breaks are extremely worn. The curved cutting edge is worn, being almost flat in places. The socket end is rectangular, measuring 16.33mm wide, 3.30mm thick.
