A silver penny of Henry III (1216-1272), short cross coinage, class 7c, dated c. 1236-1242. Obverse: Crowned bust facing with sceptre. Inscription reads HENR[IC]VS R[EX]. Reverse: Short cross voided with quatrefoil in each angle. Inscription reads [N]ICHOLE ON L[ONDON]. Moneyer and mint: Nichole at London. It measures 18.6mm in diameter and weighs 1.43g. North, J.
