MEDIEVAL SEAL

Cast lead object, in the form of a tear-drop. Possibly part of a seal. There is a worn break at its apex, presumably from a bar which would have joined it to another disc. The upper surface is decorated with cast, raised dots arranged in an irregular pattern. Lead artefacts are difficult to date, but it is likely to be of late Medieval or Post Medieval date, circa 1400 – 1850 AD. The artefact is 2…
