EARLY MEDIEVAL STIRRUP

Early Medieval (11th century, late Anglo-Saxon) cast copper alloy stirrup strap mount. The mount is sub-triangular with an apex loop filled with iron corrosion, and a worn and damaged flange at a right angle to the base.
