MEDIEVAL MOUNT

A copper alloy mount, possibly dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1200 to 1500. The object has a sub-rectangular shaft with a spherical knop at one end. There is a small circular hole throough the shaft. At the opposite end to the knop is an irregular lozenge-shaped terminal with three concentric lozenge shapes and a hole in centre.
