A hundred firemen with twenty engines were called to fight a serious blaze at St David 's Church in Westbourne Road , Islington . By the time the firemen arrived , the roof was already a mass of flames and 280 feet water towers were hurriedly run up . Shortly afterwards the roof collapsed ._x000D_
